Alex Condell, from Kildare, Ireland, joined Scholarship Sports USA in 2014. He attended college in America, playing and studying at Thomas University, Georgia (NAIA) before transferring to Jacksonville University, Florida (NCAA D1) as a goalkeeper. Upon finishing college, Alex realised that there were clear flaws in how players were represented and recruited. He decided to join SSUSA so that he could become the positive guide that he wished he had before heading Stateside.

Before attending college in America, Alex had played at a high level throughout his schoolboy years. Having represented his primary school, Green Road National School, in the CDSL followed by a local side, St. Patricks Boys, he was approached by Crumlin United FC where he won an SFAI All Ireland and was runner up the following year. This attracted the attention of Shamrock Rovers FC who are, historically, Ireland's most successful football club. Along the way, Alex represented his country at international level; battling it out against Belgium and England, to name but a few.

Alex is also a qualified primary school teacher and is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to finding a top university that a player can develop both on the field and in the classroom. "In America, you're described as a Student-Athlete, not an Athlete-Student. It's vitally important that we find a school that our players will be happy both on and off the field".

Alex currently resides in Dublin, where he still teaches today. He has a son, Leo, who Like his father, loves sports and going outdoors.
