NAIA National Tournament Preview: WCU v WVU Tech
William Carey University v West Virginia University Tech Hattiesburg, MS VS. Early on Monday afternoon, the NAIA announced the teams and the opening round of matches to take place this Saturday, November 18th. William Carey University, who fell at the final hurdle to secure an automatic berth, were granted with an at-large bid, due to their 17-1 season, and #1 NAIA ranking. Montgomery, AL The number one ranked William Carey University suffered a shock last night, going down 5-1 in the Southern States Conference Championship match, against #8 University of Mobile. They had previously knocked off UM just two weeks ago in a 2-0 contest. Played at a neutral venue, WCU outshot their opponents 16-9 and took a further 7 corners (9-2) which could point towards this being a “one-off” game. Historic Comeback Season for the Pilots!
Shreveport, LA Monday August 21st 2017, Burns Park at Central Baptist College, saw the return of the Louisiana State University Shreveport Pilots, after a five-year hiatus.
