Another outstanding Scholarship Sports USA success story as Aisling Meehan from Wicklow, Ireland continues her journey to the United States to compete in NCAA Division 1 soccer.

A 5’8” forward, Aisling brings pace, creativity and proven goal-scoring ability to the collegiate level. One of Ireland’s most exciting young attacking talents, she has already built an impressive résumé both at club and international level.

Before making the move to the U.S., Aisling represented the Republic of Ireland at U15, U16 and U17 level, including a standout moment where she scored a hat trick against Portugal in Lisbon for the Ireland U17 national team.

At club level, she has been competing with DLR Waves, one of the top programs in Irish women’s football, continuing to develop as a dynamic attacking threat capable of playing across the front line.

Off the pitch, Aisling has also demonstrated a strong commitment to giving back to the community, volunteering with SVP and the Peter McVerry Trust, while also raising funds for charities including Purple House Cancer Charity, Pieta House, and Dogs Trust.

Speaking about her decision, Aisling said:

"I picked Mizzou as it is a renowned school with a great history, great facilities and coaching staff, and I'm going to be playing at a very high competitive level in the SEC."

Her future coach also highlighted the qualities she brings:

"Aisling brings valuable international experience, having represented Ireland at the U17 level and scored at that level. She can play in multiple attacking roles and has the ability to both create and finish opportunities."
